HDACs抑制剂可增加DNA损伤，干扰DSB识别，抑制DNA修复，在众多的临床前研究中显示出放射增敏作用。深入了解HDACs抑制剂的放射增敏机制，发掘高效低毒的HDACs抑制剂，都是值得进一步研究的方向。
